FAQ
FAQ

ACRYLIC CUT LETTERS — FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is flame polishing?+
A flame smooths the acrylic edge to a glossy finish by lightly melting the surface. Best for thin sheets; less precise than diamond polishing on thicker acrylic.
What is diamond polishing?+
CNC diamond-tipped tools polish the edge to a mirror finish — used on 10–15mm architectural grade.
How are acrylic letters mounted?+
Essential: foam tape. Premium: blind stud (floating, no visible fixings). Elite: SS316 concealed stud + precision template.
How thick should acrylic letters be?+
5mm for small indoor signs. 8mm for offices/retail. 10–15mm for premium reception walls and lobbies.
Can you match my exact brand colour?+
Essential: RAL chart. Premium: Pantone to RAL. Elite: spectrophotometer-verified exact Pantone.
What is the difference between cast acrylic grades?+
Standard: affordable, functional. Premium (Plexiglas): better clarity + UV resistance. Architectural (Plexiglas GS): highest optical purity, thickest, best for diamond-polished edges.
Do you ship Australia-wide?+
Yes. All signs are custom made and shipped tracked to any address in Australia — Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and regional areas. Signs are packed flat with protective backing to prevent damage during transit.
What is the difference between solvent ink, eco-solvent ink, and UV-cured ink?+
Solvent ink is the standard — affordable and produces good colour on vinyl. Eco-solvent ink is a cleaner formulation that produces richer colour with lower VOCs. UV-cured ink is the premium option — it is instantly cured by UV light during printing, producing extremely durable colour that resists fading and scratching far longer than solvent alternatives. UV-cured ink is the same technology used in automotive and architectural graphics.
